From the Brand's Beginnings: Meet Maria, the Heart of Framar

In 1978, Frank and Maria opened a salon, marking the start of the Framar story. Maria, the embodiment of the company's soul, continues to provide a strong foundation for Framar today. For the first 20 years, Maria was a one-woman powerhouse, handling everything from production and sales to personally packing each order by hand. Now, over 35 years after taking a leap of faith and creating this company, Maria remains at the helm as the company's President, actively involved in all aspects of Framar.

The Birth of Framar

Maria founded Framar in 1986, operating out of the back of her husband Frank's salon. She became the first in Canada to create foil specifically designed for hair stylists.
